What is European Repat Insurance?
You probably already have holiday insurance and a GHIC card, but did you know that most holiday insurance policies exclude dangerous activities like motorcycle track days and motocross. Check the small print or call your travel insurance provider if you don’t believe us.
Our specialist European Repat Insurance is specifically designed to cover you for motorbike track days and dirt bike events, such as motocross, Enduro or Trials riding on closed tracks (private land only). You can also add cover for amateur racing and competitions.
What does European Repat Insurance cover you for?
Cover is only available to UK residents aged 18+.
You only need to buy cover for the days you are riding on track (it is not a full travel insurance cover). You can buy this as a top up to your normal holiday insurance, which will cover you for everything else.

Which countries does European Repat Insurance cover?
Our European Repatriation Insurance extends to include the European Economic Area (EEA), which consists of all 27 EU member states, along with Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway.
What protective riding gear do I need to wear?
For riding on a short circuit or racetrack (amateur racing or non-competitive track days):
- ACU Approved Full-Face Motorcycle Helmet; and
- CE Approved apparel including:
- Leather motorcycle gloves that overlap or are underlapped by the sleeve
- One-piece leathers or two-piece leathers that zip all the way around
- Motorcycle boots that overlap or are overlapped by the leathers
- Full length back protector – integrated or separate
For motocross riding or racing you will need an ACU approved motocross helmet, chest and back protection and motocross boots. For any other off-road motorcycle event an ACU or CE approved helmet must be worn, in addition to motorcycle boots and gloves appropriate to the activity being undertaken.
Do I need a licence to ride on track with European Repat Insurance?
It depends on the motorbike activity you are doing, e.g. if you are racing or competing you must have a valid racing licence, alternatively a motorcycle licence is acceptable for non-competitive motorcycle track days (you don’t need a licence for dirt bike events if they are non-competitive).
