GUIDE

What is track day damage insurance?

Motorcycle track days are more popular than ever, especially in Europe, where riders can enjoy world-class circuits, sun-soaked tarmac, and the camaraderie of fellow enthusiasts. But whilst the thrill is undeniable, the financial risk of damaging your bike on track can hold many riders back.

We believe nothing should stop you from enjoying your bike to the fullest. That's why we've partnered with TDA Services to offer specialist motorcycle track day insurance, designed for both road and track-prepared bikes.

Why ride on track?

There are countless reasons to take your bike to the track. Unlike public roads, track riding offers a safer, more controlled environment:

  • Everyone is travelling in the same direction
  • No kerbs, trees, potholes, or unexpected obstacles
  • Most importantly — no cars pulling out or turning across your path

But the real value comes from learning the limits of your bike. You'll understand its capabilities, explore tyre grip, improve your cornering, and maybe even get that coveted knee-down (or elbow-down) photo.

What does track day damage insurance cover?

Whether you experience a low-side, a high-side, or get caught up in someone else's crash, our track day bike insurance has you covered. Available for both UK and European circuits, this product offers:

  • Cover for road-legal and dedicated track bikes
  • Competitive premiums with realistic excesses (typically 10–15% of the bike's value)
  • Protection regardless of fault

We understand the risks, the excitement, and the need for insurance that makes sense. This policy has been developed by riders, for riders — giving you peace of mind so you can focus on your lines, not your losses.

IMPORTANT EXCLUSIONS

What your policy does not cover

  • This policy does not cover competitive riding, racing or timed runs.
  • This policy does not provide any cover for injury to any third party or damage to any third party property.
  • There is no cover under this policy for a motorcycle to be ridden off the circuit; whether on public or private land.
  • Internal damage to the engine or to the gearbox or transmission, unless it is a consequence of a direct impact.
  • Consumable items such as tyres, oils, linings etc.
  • Cosmetic damage such as paint chips or wheel scuff that are not a consequence of a direct and obvious impact.
