Motorcycle Travel Insurance
As motorbike insurance specialists, we have developed a range of travel insurance products designed for bike enthusiasts on road, track or dirt:
- Motorbike Touring Travel Insurance - Whether riding your own bike in the EU or maybe hiring a bike for Route 66 you will need a travel insurance policy that allows you to ride a proper motorbike abroad with proper cover in place (many restrict cover to mopeds and scooters only). Up to £10m to cover your emergency medical and repatriation costs in the event of an accident on the road or if riding off-road Charlie Boorman style on an adventure bike, plus many of the usual travel insurance benefits like cancellation cover.
- Trackday Repatriation Insurance - If you've escalated your hobby from UK track days to full on Euro trackday trips then this is the cover for you. Not only does it cover you for up to £250k emergency medical and repatriation costs for injuries incurred on an overseas circuit (you can even add amateur racing cover), it also provides a contribution towards your damaged leathers and riding gear too!
- Dirt Bike Repatriation Insurance - If you like to get dirty on overseas trips, for example riding motocross in Spain, then you will need insurance that covers you for what many travel insurance policies consider to be 'dangerous sports' (many exclude things like motocross). You can even add cover for motocross racing, as well as enduro and trials events, grass track and so on (if you're just riding a normal bike off-road then our Touring Cover above includes this as standard).
And remember, if you've already booked your travel, don't delay... In the words of Martin Lewis from Money Saving Expert - "As soon as you book" (ASAB) - to ensure you have cancellation cover in place in case your trip is cancelled for specific reasons.
